Family Art Activities Banner Designs

Noguchi Museum Family Art Event Banner Designs
I was commissioned by the Noguchi Museum's Education Department (The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum) in July 2021 to design three retractable banners. These banners were commissioned to be used at pop-up family art events hosted by the museum to be displayed at different locations. The first events these banners were used at were at Art at Rainey Park during July - August 2021.
Mood board for the project
I was inspired by the colors from Noguchi's playscapes which are orange, blue, green, and yellow. I incorporated his color scheme into my banner designs. The forms of the illustration on the bottom of the banners came directly from a playscape that is composed of a triangle, half of a hexagon and some of the topical shapes from one of his stone sculptures. The vertical border includes patterns found in some of Noguchi's stone sculptures made into a graphic to go along with the rest of the color scheme.
